Last year I went travelling around USA and Canada and had a life changing adventure. I saw amazing things and met some amazing people! It made me realise that I didn’t want to just settle in Shropshire anymore, quite frankly I can’t. I need more, I need to explore and discover new places. Travel has entered my veins and nothing but a transfusion is going to stop me now.
It’s not that I hate were I live or that there is nothing to do, don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful place with it’s rolling hills, beautiful valleys and rivers. Proper countryside as a friend of mine says, its where the industrial revolution started for goodness sake but somehow it is not me anymore.
Since coming home I have found it hard to come back to reality, never sitting still, the itchy feet well and truly leading me astray. In the 2 months I have been back they have lead me to London twice; where I have attended and met some like minded people at Adventure Travel Show and a Travel blogging masterclass at The Guardian in some faint hope of clinging onto my passion. These itchy feet also lead me to beautiful Cornwall where I spent a week walking and running the rugged coastline.
Now I am on my travels again back to Canada. Vancouver to he precise.
Even in the 2 days I was there last year I fell particular hard for its charm and it’s beauty. I vowed to go back again and spend more time exploring it, and the surrounding. I have dusted off the rucksack, the walking boots and I’m off. I have signed up for 5 weeks intensive French classes, I am staying with old friends and hoping to immerse myself in its culture and people. Vancouver I am coming for you and I can’t wait to see what you have to offer.
